Editorial method

How PaperBridge explains an AI research paper

PaperBridge does not replace the primary paper or merely rewrite its abstract. Each explainer is designed to show the research problem, mechanism, strength of evidence, operating boundaries, and what remains unknown.

PaperBridge Editorial

Four editorial principles

Primary sources first

Claims begin with the paper, appendix, official author material, and verifiable project pages. Secondary commentary may add context but cannot replace paper evidence.

Evidence is separate from interpretation

Reported results, teaching analogies, and practical interpretation are labeled as different things so editorial judgment is not presented as an author claim.

Diagrams are recreated

Visuals explain mechanisms and relationships without copying protected paper figures. Every diagram needs a descriptive caption and accessible alt text.

Limitations stay visible

Reports retain failure conditions, incomplete experimental coverage, metric disputes, and open verification questions instead of presenting only the strongest conclusion.

How a report is produced

1. Verify the source

Resolve the arXiv, DOI, paper page, or PDF and confirm the title, authors, version, and available primary material.

2. Build an evidence ledger

Connect important claims to experiments, tables, ablations, or author text and record the strength of that support.

3. Structure the explanation

Write in problem, method, evidence, and meaning order, adding original diagrams and definitions for difficult concepts.

4. Expose uncertainty

Check overclaims, missing conditions, and unresolved questions while retaining source links and modification dates.

AI assistance disclosure

PaperBridge uses AI to help read, organize, translate, and draft reports. Fixed data structures, source constraints, safety checks, and publication audits reduce errors. PaperBridge is not peer review, and its reports do not replace the primary paper or professional judgment.

Corrections and updates

When a primary paper changes, a source is revised, or a factual issue is found, the report should be corrected and its modification date updated. Important decisions should always be verified against the linked primary paper.
